JTA partners with Pink Ribbon Jax for Breast Cancer Awareness

JACKSONVILLE, FL.  – The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) is supporting Pink Ribbon Jax during Breast Cancer Awareness Month by sponsoring life-saving mammograms and bringing awareness through shared marketing efforts in Jacksonville.

The JTA’s sponsorship funds 50 mammograms for uninsured or underinsured women and men in Jacksonville and encourages others to donate to Pink Ribbon Jax through the “Get One, Give One Mammogram” campaign.

October is national Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Pink Ribbon Jax is an all-volunteer, nonprofit group created in 2006 that raises funds for local breast cancer research, mammography, and patient services at Baptist Health and Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville. PRJ operates as a 501(c)(3) under the Baptist Health Foundation umbrella.

The JTA is getting out the message through a custom bus wrap, signage on bus shelters and transit hubs throughout the city and by lighting the Acosta Bridge Pink during the week of October 4th.
