The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) operates a dynamic LED lighting system on the Acosta Bridge, creating an iconic element to the Downtown Jacksonville skyline. This system is customizable and allows the Authority to use different color schemes to highlight annual holidays, large events, and observances of broad community support.
As agreed upon through Resolution 2022-705-A, the JTA maintains an annual list of observances for the Acosta Bridge which is approved by the JTA Board of Directors and the Jacksonville City Council.
The list combines dozens of light displays, remaining consistent with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Decorative Lighting Policy.
