JTA Announces Second Round of Public Meetings to Shape the Future of the Skyway

(Jacksonville, FL – April 20, 2026) The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) is inviting the community to discuss the future of the Skyway as the Authority advances efforts to modernize the system, integrate new technologies, and strengthen mobility in and around Downtown Jacksonville.

The public is invited to attend the next series of open house meetings, taking place May 11–14, 2026, to learn more about the U²C Phase II – Skyway Rehabilitation & Downtown Service Expansion Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study, hear the latest updates, and review the current status of the project, including alternatives analysis and project recommendations.

May 11

  • 11:00 am–1:00 pm and 5:00 pm–7:00 pm — FSCJ - Advanced Technology Center, 401 West State Street

May 12

  • 11:00 am–1:00 pm and 5:00 pm–7:00 pm — Doubletree Jacksonville Riverfront, 1201 Riverplace Boulevard

May 13

  • 11:00 am–1:00 pm and 5:00 pm–7:00 pm — Jessie Ball duPont Center, 40 East Adams Street

May 14

  • 11:00 am–1:00 pm and 5:00 pm–7:00 pm — Ashley Square, 650 North Newnan Street
