Northwest Jacksonville Corridor Improvements

Council Districts: 7, 8, 9, 10

The Northwest Jacksonville Corridor Improvements will enhance the transit user experience in Northwest Jacksonville by improving amenities at 111 bus stops. Improvements are focused on safety and accessibility, providing connections to destinations in the community, and embracing the communities’ identities.

The project will consider how riders move beyond the bus stop and connect with the surrounding area. Bus stop upgrades will include traditional amenities such as shelters, benches, trash receptacles, and bike racks, as well as amenities such as dynamic messaging for route information, safety improvements like lighting, and public space improvements.

This project is expected to enhance safety and promote economic growth by improving mobility and promoting community investment along the corridor.

Bus stop upgrades will continue through 2026.
