Greenville Transit Authority Tours the JTA

Greenville Transit Authority Tours the JTA

We were pleased to welcome leaders from Greenville Transit Authority for a two-day visit with the Jacksonville Transportation Authority.

During their time here, they toured the JRTC, explored the Autonomous Innovation Center and Armsdale Test & Learn Facility, and experienced a ride on NAVI to see the technology in action.

The visit focused on sharing insights from our autonomous vehicle program, including how we planned and deployed it, what has been successful, challenges we have navigated, and how similar strategies could be applied in Greenville.

Strong collaboration and openly sharing knowledge are key to advancing public transportation in communities everywhere.

Rail Crossing Safety Initiative

Rail Crossing Safety Initiative

The JTA’s Safety & Security Department was proud to lead a 5-day, citywide rail crossing safety awareness initiative alongside ATU Local 1197 and the CSX Police Department. The team visited multiple rail crossings across Jacksonville to connect with bus operators, motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists and reinforce safe practices around tracks.

Please remember to stay alert, follow signals, and never take chances near rail crossings. Together with our partners we’re helping keep our community safe.
