closeJTA’s vision of a regional multi-modal hub is coming to a reality with the Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center (JRTC). The JRTC will be a multi-modal hub, located in the heart of the Downtown LaVilla area, that will integrate key local, regional and intercity service in one location.
Improved connectivity between modes including local bus, BRT and Skyway; regional bus and future commuter rail service; and intercity bus and passenger rail service.
Intercity Bus Facility (Greyhound) - Construction is complete. Greyhound operations commenced in April 2018.
JTA Administrative Offices including other amenities such as parking, pedestrian bridge over W. Forsyth St., sidewalk improvements. Additional improvements include supervisor/driver’s area, restrooms, customer service, passenger waiting lobby, kiss-n-ride, taxi, car share and bike share.
TBD. Could include Amtrak, commuter rail or additional Intercity Rail.
The Intercity Bus Terminal is approximately 9,660 sf, the Bus Transfer Facility will consist of 21 bus bays and the Administration building will include more than 40,000 sf of interior space.
