The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) announced temporary suspension of the St. Johns River Ferry. This closure follows an incident that occurred the evening of Sunday, May 4th when the ferry struck the boarding ramp while departing from Mayport Landing. Following the encounter, structural inspections of both the bridge and vessel began as well as necessary repairs. Service will resume once complete.
