Skyway to Operate on September 15 for Hispanic Heritage Celebration

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA – September 12, 2018 – The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) is excited to provide complimentary transportation via the Skyway for Hispanic Heritage Celebration in Hemming Park. The Skyway will be operational from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, September 15.

“We are pleased to partner with the Friends of Hemming Park for this exciting festival,” said Lisa Darnall, Vice President of JTA Transit Operations. “With more than 5,000 people attending the event, we encourage you to ‘TryTransit’ and use the Skyway or a JTA bus as part of your transportation plan.”

Due to the ongoing construction activities at the Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center, Skyway vehicles will not stop at the Convention Center Station during the festival. The family and pet friendly event will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 in Hemming Park from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. featuring the music of LPT, Goliath Flores and Kim Reteguiz & The Black Cat Bones. There will be food trucks, vendors and dance performances. For more information, visit www.hemmingpark.org.
