(Jacksonville, FL – October 25, 2025) The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) hosted its annual Fall 2025 Local Roadeo, a dynamic competition where the JTA’s Fixed Route Operators, Paratransit Operators, and Maintenance Technicians demonstrated their driving expertise, technical precision, and unwavering commitment to customer safety.

The Local Roadeo is more than a contest — it’s a celebration of skill, pride, and professionalism. Twenty-four of the JTA’s finest employees competed head-to-head through a series of timed courses and technical challenges designed to mirror the complex, real-world conditions they face every day. The Paratransit and Maintenance competitions were held simultaneously, followed by the Fixed Route Bus Operators showdown.

“Todays competition was another powerful showcase of how the JTA’s team performs in the most stressful of environments, how they push themselves to the max while always keeping safety top of mind,” stated JTA Chief Executive Officer Nat Ford. “Our people truly are remarkable. Congratulations to today’s winners — I’m confident they’ll stand atop the podium at the state competition next year.”
