Fare Modification

Every day, we move people, connect neighborhoods, and deliver reliable, courteous service.

Now, as a thank you to our customers, we’re making travel easier and more affordable with a six-month fare reduction pilot program starting February 1, 2026.

  • Fixed Route Bus: $1.00 (43% reduction)

  • Connexion Paratransit: $2.00 (33% reduction)

  • NAVI: Complimentary as of December 15, 2025

We asked our customers to share their experiences riding our Fixed Route buses, and the results are in. Their feedback reflects the dedication, hard work, and commitment of Team JTA, showing how, together, we keep Northeast Florida moving and support our customers in their daily journeys.

Customer Surveys for our St. Johns River Ferry Service

Last year, the St. Johns River Ferry carried more than 36,000 riders across Northeast Florida and that impact is possible because of you. We asked Ferry riders how we’re doing and what we can do better—and the results are in. Their feedback reflects the dedication, teamwork, and professionalism of our Ferry crew and support teams, with overall satisfaction reaching nearly 100%.

Skyway Customer Satisfaction Survey Results 2025

Last year, the JTA Skyway moved nearly 260,000 riders through Downtown Jacksonville and that impact is possible because of you. We asked our customers how we’re doing and where we can continue to improve, and the results are in.

Fare is Fair

When customers pay their fare, they support the work you do to keep buses running, facilities clean, and routes open for the community. Fare compliance helps protect the vital services we provide and ensure resources stay where they are needed most.

Fare evasion isn’t just against the rules, it takes away from the services you provide that keep our system operating safely and smoothly. That’s why we are taking steps to reduce fare evasion, and it’s something we can do together, with consistency and respect, across our system.

Delivering Cleaner Buses, Better Shelters & Higher Standards

At the Jacksonville Transportation Authority, Better Together isn’t just a message to the public – it’s how we deliver what matters most to our customers every day.

In 2025, your hard work made a real difference:

  • Over 63.9K bus and shelter cleanings

  • Over 9.2K quality inspections

These efforts helped increase customer satisfaction with cleanliness to nearly 75 percent! This progress doesn’t happen by chance – it happens because of your attention to detail and commitment to our customers.

For nearly 14 years, Yolanda has served as a bus operator and behind the wheel trainer, building relationships with customers and mentoring the next generation of operators.
