New JTA Campaign Encourages Passengers to 'Think Safe'

As a part of the Jacksonville Transportation Authority’s (JTA) ongoing focus on passenger and community safety, the JTA today announced a Think Safe informational campaign.

“One of our Agency’s top goals is to create awareness within our community regarding the importance of thinking safe when it comes to public transportation,” explained Michael Sloan, JTA’s Vice President of Compliance and Risk Management. “The JTA’s Think Safe campaign will be a daily reminder for our customers and the general public to practice safety at all times, and to be aware of their surroundings.”

Over the next several months the campaign will feature a series of informative messages through signage, banners, advertisements and announcements on the buses.  Messages will emphasize the importance of safe travel including using precautionary measures when riding on the Skyway, traveling on a bus or crossing busy streets.

The campaign will appear throughout all of the JTA systems, including the corporate website.  To learn more about the JTA’s Think Safe campaign, please visit or contact the JTA Customer Service Department at 904-630-3100.
