New JTA Beaches Trolley Launches Friday

Join the Jacksonville Transportation Authority as it launches the new Beaches Trolley service this Friday (June 27). A special ceremony will officially launch the service.

                    When: Friday, June 27, 2008

Time: 5:30 p.m. (First Trolley departs at approximately 5:50 p.m.)

Where: Park behind Jacksonville Beach City Hall (at 2nd St/2nd Ave)

Trolley Notes:


  • The new service is free to everyone

  • Runs through Labor Day



  • Friday: 6 p.m. – 2 a.m.

  • Saturday: 10 a.m. – 2 a.m.

  • Sunday: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

  • July 4th: 10 a.m. – 2 a.m.

  • Labor Day: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.



  • The Beaches Trolley will run between the South Beach Regional Shopping Center at A1A and JTB all the way to the Town Center on Atlantic Boulevard.

  • A trolley will leave each end of the route at the start time each day and pass a trolley stop approximately every 15 minutes.
