JTA to require face coverings on board and at facilities

JACKSONVILLE, FL.  - In accordance with the local requirements established Monday by the City of Jacksonville, the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) will require customers to wear face coverings on board vehicles and at JTA facilities.

Customers will be required to wear a face covering on board buses, skyway trains and other transportation services. Employees and visitors to JTA facilities are already required to do so. Social distancing and other guidelines in accordance with the recommendations from the Florida Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) will remain in place in addition to this new measure. Advanced cleaning and disinfecting activities on buses and at JTA workplaces will continue.

To assist customers who do not have access to masks, the JTA will provide a limited amount for customers each day at the Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center at LaVilla and on board buses.
