Community Charrette Scheduled for Blanding Blvd. and Park St. Corridors

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) invites the public to participate in redesigning and improving mobility in the community. The JTA is holding a series of community charrettes (meetings) the week of January 26-28 to focus on Blanding Boulevard and Park Street from Orange Park Mall to Interstate 95. The purpose of these meetings is to discuss potential safety and mobility improvements within the corridor. The project may include items such as sidewalks, bike paths, transit accessibility improvements, lighting, bus shelters, landscaping and more. J

TA needs your ideas, input and feedback to ensure that the vision reflects community values and aspirations. Community involvement and feedback will help determine what projects will be most beneficial to the neighborhoods now and in the future. The charrettes will be held at the Riverside Baptist Church located at 2650 Park Street.
