JTA 4th of July Weekend Hours and Services

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA – June 24, 2016 – The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) is pleased to provide Skyway and Beaches Trolley service on Monday, July 4 for the annual Independence Day Celebrations at the Beaches and on the St. Johns River.

Complimentary Skyway service is available on Monday, July 4 from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. with free parking in the JTA lots around the Convention Center Skyway Station. Paid parking is available at the Kings Avenue Garage (Credit Card Payment Only).  

Note: Skyway service (only the trains crossing the St. Johns River) will be temporarily suspended during the fireworks show from 9:30 p.m. to approximately 10 p.m. 

The Beaches Trolley will operate on a 20-minute frequency along Third Street from South Beach Parkway Shopping Center to Atlantic Boulevard.

Independence Day Weekend Beaches Trolley Schedule:
• Friday 7 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
• Saturday 10 a.m. to 2:30 a.m.
• Sunday 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
• Monday (July 4) 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. (Extended Hours)

Catching a ride on a trolley is easy with the MyJTA mobile application which allows customers to purchase an unlimited-ride, single-day pass for $4 or a one-ride ticket for $1.50 from the convenience of their smart phone. Download the free MyJTA app from Google Play or the Apple App Store. One and three day passes are also available at Walgreens.

Single trips are $1.50 with exact change on the trolley. Seniors 65 and older with a valid Senior STAR Card have complimentary access.

On Monday, July 4, JTA buses will operate on a Sunday schedule. JTA administrative offices and the call center will be closed. The ticket booth at Rosa Parks Transit Station will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
