closeThe Jacksonville Transportation Authority (the ?JTA?) is aware of the ?Municipal Advisor Rule? of the Securities and Exchange Commission (effective July 1, 2014) and the underwriter exclusion from the definition of ?municipal advisor? for a firm serving as an underwriter for a particular issuance of municipal securities.
The JTA has retained two independent registered municipal advisors. By publicly posting this written disclosure, the JTA intends that market participants receive and use it for the purposes of the independent registered municipal advisor exemption to the SEC Municipal Advisor Rule. In particular, the JTA is informing market participants that they may freely suggest financing options and structures, both in response to requests for proposals and in formulating independent financing proposals for the JTA to consider.
The JTA is represented by and will rely on its municipal advisors to provide advice on proposals received from financial services firms concerning the issuance of municipal securities and municipal financial products (including investment of bond proceeds and escrow investments). To obtain information on a particular JTA credit, please contact the JTA?s Administration and Finance department at (904) 630-3181, or contact the appropriate municipal advisor listed below.
