JTA takes cost containment seriously. Recently we entered into a joint fuel buying consortium of state agencies to reduce fuel costs. In addition, we work diligently to secure federal and state transportation grants to enhance the region’s mobility, and have brought home $13 million in such grants this year alone.
Transit Funding:

Highway Funding:

- Federal and state sources
The only funding that JTA receives from the City of Jacksonville now is an annual appropriation of approximately $1.1 million to support the transportation of disabled clients.
