Tuesday is Operator Appreciation Day!

Have you thanked your operator lately?

Consider this: For hours on end, transit operators manage to keep a schedule, check fares, give directions, announce stops, remember stop requests and more, all while safely maneuvering an extra-large vehicle through unpredictable traffic, adverse weather conditions and some really tight spaces! The fact is, transit operators don't have an easy job, they just make it look that way.

On Tuesday, March 18, join us in celebrating the contributions of our hard-working Fixed Route, Paratransit and Community Shuttle operators. That could be as simple as a smile and a wave when you board the bus or train, and a "thank you" when you leave. You can also print out and personalize any of the thank-you cards through this link to show your appreciation in person. And, don't forget to submit an official commendation for a job well done, so your operator can be formally recognized for his or her efforts. (You can do that any time of year!)

While you are riding, you can send tweets or Facebook posts with kudos or thanks for your operator. Whether you are on social media or using our online comment form, be sure to note the four-digit bus number, route, time and direction so we can make sure your commendation reaches your operator.
