JTA Board Re-elects Scott L. McCaleb as Chairman

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority Board of Directors re-elected Scott L. McCaleb of Jacksonville Beach to lead the Board of Directors for his second term as the chairman in 2016.

McCaleb is the president of Vulcan Land, Inc., a subsidiary of Vulcan Materials Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate from Florida State University. McCaleb was originally appointed to the Authority’s Board on February 10, 2012 by Governor Rick Scott.

"The Authority has accomplished a lot of exciting initiatives in 2015, such as the successful launch of the North Corridor of the First Coast Flyer™ Bus Rapid Transit system,” said McCaleb. “2016 promises to be a another year of heightened activity for JTA with the opening of the compressed natural gas fueling facility and subsequent launch of the Southeast Corridor of the First Coast Flyer™ Bus Rapid Transit system.”

Joining McCaleb as officers are Isaiah Rumlin as Vice Chairman, Kevin Holzendorf as Secretary and Ari Jolly as Treasurer. The JTA officers are elected annually by the Board of Directors and can serve up to two consecutive terms.

McCaleb has been a member of the University of North Florida Foundation Board since 2011 and is a member of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He is also a trustee of the Gator Bowl Association and served as their chairman in 1993. McCaleb was the founding president and honorary member of the Rotary Club of Deerwood and is an alumni of Leadership Jacksonville. He also served as vice-chairman of the Jacksonville Sports Development.
