Enjoy Christmas in Avondale this Saturday on the Riverside-Avondale Night Trolley

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA – November 30, 2016 –The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) is pleased to operate the Riverside-Avondale Night Trolley on the first Friday and Saturday of every month, from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.

The Trolley/Route 71 and Route 16 will have a slight detour this Saturday on St. Johns Avenue between Edgewood Avenue and Van Wert Street. St. Johns Avenue will be closed for “Christmas in Avondale” from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, December 3. The family friendly event is put on by the Shoppes of Avondale.

“We are excited to partner with Riverside Avondale Preservation and the Shoppes of Avondale to offer affordable and convenient transportation for the holiday festivities this weekend,” said JTA Vice President of Transit Operations Lisa Darnall. “We invite everyone to enjoy the holiday event and avoid the hassles of traffic and parking by riding the Trolley.
