Beaches Trolley Returns to Regular Schedule

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) announced that beginning tomorrow, Friday, September 13, The Beaches Trolley (TR3) will return to its regular schedule.  The trolley operated extended seasonal hours on the weekends to accommodate summer activities. 

“Now that school is back in session and autumn is upon us, the Beaches Trolley summer program will return to its regular schedule.” said Nathaniel Ford, JTA’s Chief Executive Officer. “Currently, the entire transit system is under review and performance of this route’s seasonal service will be factored into future proposed changes.  We look forward to providing the beaches community and off-season guests the opportunity to take a ride on our trolleys.”    

For only $1.50 per trip, passengers can enjoy a hassle-free ride on JTA’s Beaches Trolley.  The Trolley operates along Third Street between South Beach Parkway Shopping Center and Atlantic Village Shopping Center.  

Starting September 13, the Beaches Trolley service will resume as follows: 

  Friday service will operate every 30 minutes until 6:45 p.m. at which time it will run every hour until 12:45 a.m.

  Saturday service will operate every 30 minutes until 7:15 p.m. then hourly until 12:45 a.m.

  Sunday service will return to hourly all day long until 12:45 a.m.
